The eQuGPS Track Car GPS Tracker is a compact electronic device that connects to the on-board electrical system of a car or other vehicle (object) and transmits its location to online monitoring servers in real time (OnLine) and you can monitor the movement of the object or view the history of its movements at any time via a personal computer or application on your smartphone. The received location data can be displayed on a map for further use. The data can also be analyzed to determine routes, control traffic, set geofences, etc. The position is determined with an accuracy of 5-10 m.
In addition, the device has an “engine lock” function, which, if necessary, will block the operation of the car. If the user sends a command to block the engine via the platform or application, the GPS tracker sends the corresponding command to the car engine to block its operation. After successfully executing the blocking command, the user receives confirmation of this action via the platform or application. (For remote engine blocking, it is necessary to additionally install a blocking relay during device installation.)
The principle of operation of the blocking is as follows: the electronic circuit of an important engine power system is cut. This can be a low-amperage ignition wire, or a fuel pump power wire, etc. The ends formed as a result of the cut are connected through a relay. Now the power circuit is restored, but the blocking does not work yet. Next, one contact for powering the relay is connected to the constant “+” in the car, and the other to the white wire coming from the GPS device (the white wire is “-”).
IMPORTANT: to avoid emergency situations and situations that may lead to vehicle breakdown, blocking occurs at the moment the car stops.
The device also has a built-in accelerometer, which allows it to determine when it is at rest and when it is in motion. In motion, the device transmits its position more often, so the route is displayed in detail, in a calm state (when the device remains stationary), the device checks its position at a longer interval and thus consumes less energy. In addition to the main method of determining location (GPS), the eQuGPS Track device can determine the position in an alternative way - using base stations of mobile operators (LBS). LBS - has not such high accuracy as GPS, but it takes very little time to determine the position and in some cases can help significantly narrow the vehicle search sector.
The big advantage of the eQuGPS Track GPS Tracker is its high quality, low cost and the presence of the function of remote shutdown of the car's functional devices. There are also configurations with a built-in battery and ignition control (ACC Control).
